    This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will serve as an Operations Research Analyst.

    As a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST at the GS-1515-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:

    • Leads the development of Joint Concepts that address operational challenges out 10 to 15 years and identifies required capabilities of the future joint force.
    • Advisor to key Joint Staff officials on analytic issues that pertain to Joint Concept development and implementation.
    • Provides expert advice and analysis to senior staff and managers within the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and Services, regarding operational issues of major importance to the Department of Defense (DOD) for Joint Concept development and implementation.
    • Leads major analysis, assessments and evaluations in support of Joint Concept development and implementation for senior staff.
    • Performs analyses for difficult-to-define, futurist, innovative and new approaches, functions, or processes with major impact on joint force capabilities development.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
