The Office of GSA IT is responsible for high quality (IT) solutions and provides staff with the ever-evolving technology they need to attain new capabilities, better productivity, mobility, agility and cost savings.
This position is being announced under the Pathways Student Internship Program. This Program is designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with opportunities to work in agencies and explore Federal careers while still in school and while getting paid for the work performed. A Student Trainee (IT):
Works closely with supervisor or senior staff on basic IT tasks.
Works closely with supervisor or senior staff in reviewing and evaluating the products and equipment.
Works closely with supervisor or senior staff in assisting other specialists in: providing general and/or limited technical IT advice and guidance to customers.

To qualify, you must demonstrate the following:
At the GS-03: Completion of at least one full academic year of post-high school study. NOTE: One full academic year of undergraduate education is defined as the number of credit hours determined by the college, university or school to represent 1 year of full-time study.
At the GS-04: Completion of at least two full academic years of post-high school study. Education Requirements:
Qualifying educational institutions/programs for Pathways include: a high school/GED whose curriculum has been approved by a state or local governing body, or a home-school curriculum; and any accredited technical or vocational school, 2- or 4-year college or university, a graduate or professional school, or a post-secondary home-school curriculum.
