As a Pathways Intern supporting the Products Team from the Public Safety Advocacy Division, the incumbent will support activities related to obtaining, analyzing, and applying operational use case and case study data from public safety entitles regarding their use of mobile broadband technologies.

The First Responder Network Authority, Office of the Chief Technology and Operations Officer in Boulder, CO is seeking bright, innovative, results-oriented individuals to join our Pathways Internship Program (IP). The Pathways Internship Program (IP) targets students accepted for enrollment or currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program (diploma, certificate, etc.) in an accredited/qualifying educational institution, on a full- or half-time basis. (Applicants who do not meet the definition of “student” will not be considered). Internship can be seasonal (spring, summer, fall) or year-round.

Applicants must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The duration of this Pathways appointment will serve as a trial period. Applicants must possess a grade point average (GPA) of a 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0. Grade-point averages are to be rounded to one decimal place. For example, 2.95 will round to 3.0 and 2.94 will round to 2.9. Applicants must be enrolled in a directly related degree program – (Include only if position the intern may be converted into has a positive education requirement) Applicants must meet requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the ZP-I Student Trainee (Social Science) position you must possess the following: Completion of high school or GED diploma (equivalent to GS-2); OR completion of I full academic year of post-high school study (equivalent to GS-3); OR completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree (equivalent to GS-4); OR completion of 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree (equivalent to GS-5). OR One year specialized experience related to the planning and design of the National Public Safety broadband Network (NPBSN).
