Performing all aspects of patient tray assembly. Properly portioning food items and beverages. I can assemble patient trays in a manner that makes them appealing to patients. Prepare attractive garnishes for patient trays. Pick up trays following meal completion schedule, unloads and scrapes trays, stacks dishes and utensils for washing, and cleans and readies cart for next meal. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: The work involves prolonged periods of standing and walking and frequent stooping, bending, reaching, pulling and pushing. Regularly lifts and moves objects weighing up to forty pounds with some occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance. Regularly pushes food carts weighing 45 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The area is generally well lighted however is considered hot as is typical of kitchen areas in which ovens and steam constantly produce heat and humidity. The area is frequently noisy with exposure to burns, cuts, bruises, scrapes or broken bones resulting from falls or slips on wet surface, hot liquids, foods or cooking surfaces, equipment or utensils. The employee follows prescribed safety procedures and is required to wear safety shoes. Regularly pushes food carts weighing 45 pounds.
