Duties

Help

Interns will take on a variety of duties which may include:

  • Assisting attorneys in providing oral and written advice.
  • Preparing memorandums on legal and policy issues facing the intelligence Community (IC).
  • Assisting the OGC in the administration of various legal projects.

  • Suitability for Federal employment , determined by background investigation
  • Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with Department of Defense (DoD) OIG.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this program, applicants must: (1) be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a JD, LL.B, or LL.M at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis; (2) have a minimum cumulative (overall) GPA of 2.5 out of 4.0; and (3) be in good academic standing.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled in an accredited law school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and remain enrolled during the term of the internship. Successful completion of a background investigation is also required.

Education

Completion of 2 academic years of graduate level education, or all requirements for a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or a LL.B or J.D degree.
