Duties

Help

Prepares a limited variety of alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish where a working knowledge of the various mixed drinks is required. Serves patrons at counter or table service. Receives payment, operates cash register, and makes and returns change to patrons or waiter. Works from drink recipes and is held strictly responsible for pre-measuring drinks to meet retail accountability requirements. Prepares a variety of sandwich type food orders following recipes. Takes food orders and sends them to kitchen for preparation. Serves food, alcoholic drinks, receives payment, operates cash register and makes and returns change to patrons. Cleans equipment in kitchen and service counter area. Washes dishes, pots, pans, glasses and flatware. Cleans meat slicer in accordance with cleaning instructions. Sweeps, mops and vacuums floors. Disposes of food wastes and trash. Prepares Daily Activity Report for cash receipt documentation at end of shift and deposits monies in drop safe. Secures building at close of business in absence of management. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Able to read, write and comprehend English. A minimum of Bartender or Waitress and cash handling practical experience preferred. Must successfully complete and pass the Food Sanitation Course.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
