    You will serve as a Environmental Engineer or Physical Scientist in the NAVFAC HQ AM BRAC Program Management Office of BASE REALIGNMENT AND CLOSURE PMO located in Point Loma, San Diego or Naval Business Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

    The Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Environmental Coordinator(BEC) is responsible for, and is delegated the authority to execute, all environmental cleanup programs related to the transfer of the installation's real property.

    • You will advise environmental personnel and government officials on procedures in cleaning up contaminated sites to protect the public and the environment.
    • You will oversee internal and external environmental assessments to ensure regulatory guidelines are being followed.
    • You will conduct briefings on environmental project issues to identify long-term solutions for environmental problems.
    • You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams on project management directives to ensure successful project execution within environmental standards.
    • You will serve as senior subject matter expert in environmental engineering for improvement projects.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
