Duties

Help
  • You will serve as a Program Analyst within the US Army NSRDEC, Office of the Chief of Staff DCS, G-8, Financial Management, assigned to the Aerial Delivery Directorate. Specifically you will:
  • Perform program analysis and administrative functions.
  • Perform extensive tasks within the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Microsoft Excel environments.
  • Execute financial control, budgeting, coordination, and review/report on reimbursable and direct cite programs for your assigned area of responsibility.
  • Provide advice and guidance covering a wide variety of financial policies, directives and program/system requirements.
  • Review, analyze and interpret various financial documents and reports in order to recommend solutions to difficult and complex problems.
  • Prepare reports citing the significance of funding, achievements and prospects for attaining established milestones.
  • Prepare budget and program requirements as well as supporting documents.
  • Formulate budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities of your assigned organization.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) budgeting and management of financial resources; 2) applying analytical and evaluative methods to manage business/financial programs; 3) financial management using automated financial software such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS); 4) developing/interpreting regulatory guidance, organizational procedures and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
