Duties

Help
  • Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators.
  • Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware.
  • Loads and operate dishwashers.
  • Performs a variety of routine manual tasks in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.

  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
  • Ability to understand and follow oral instructions and do simple tasks that are easy to learn.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15j. Incumbent must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
  • Must be willing and able to work irregular hours to include Federal holidays, weekends, and evenings.
  • Must be capable of Light to moderate physical effort.
  • Must be physically capable of continuous standing and walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Must be willing to perform work indoors in areas that have adequate light and ventilation.
  • Must be willing to be exposed to hot liquids, sharp cutting blades, and hot working surfaces, and extreme temperature changes when entering walk-in refrigerators or freezing units.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Must have the ability to perform food service work (such as cleaning tables, setting up food in lines, setting up steam tables, setting up dining room tables, make cold sandwiches, operate a dishwasher, clean cooking utensils, etc.)

  • This position is located within the Business Operations Division.
  • The AREA OF CONSIDERATION for this vacancy announcement is for U.S. Citizens and Non-Citizens within the Local Commuting Area of Fort Drum, NY. This includes the counties of: St. Lawrence, Oswego, Jefferson, and Lewis.
