This position is located at the United States Mint, San Francisco, in the Human Resources Division. The incumbent manages resources, and provides quality services to optimize the time, cost, and value of Human Resources processes and services that support the mission of the United States Mint’s Human Resources Operations. As a HR Specialist, you will:
-Advise management on position management, including succession planning and the appropriate numbers and types of positions required to support the mission of the United States Mint.
-Advise management and employees about a wide range if Human Resources issues and advises employees performing administrative investigations or management inquires on best practices and to ensure compliance with policies.
-Meet with managers to assist in drafting memoranda to headquarters such as hiring documentation requests and position management requests and assists managers with drafting position descriptions, job analysis, and assessment tools.
-Provide support and guidance on policies and approaches related to conduct and performance.
-Maintain the training budget; process credit card statements; provide budget reports; and conduct periodic group workshops and individual lessons for Individual Development Plan counseling.
Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required.
