As an Information Technology Specialist (ENTARCH), you will:

  • Define and oversee development and execution of an enterprise-wide modernization, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to the EIA operational and development teams.
  • Lead strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology incentives in collaboration with other teams and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.
  • Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regards to industry and federal government trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alternations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being
filled.

1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

Experience evaluating technical options and designing technical solutions that meet existing and emergent business requirements; experience directing implementation of new systems and capabilities; experience leading technical reviews of new hardware, software, and system implementations.

  2. Skill in applying information technology policy and planning concepts, methods, and practices in order to meet goals and objectives as well as knowledge of the mission, functions, and programs of organizations and of overall goals of the information technology program
  3. Skill in leading the evaluation of the agency’s mission, goals, plans, programs, and business process in order to develop agency-wide information technology architecture plan and conduct continuing evaluations of agency business needs to ensure information technology architecture plans are aligned with current and
    planned information technology infrastructure requirements
  4. Knowledge of information technology to include knowledge of strategic planning, capital planning, policy and standards development, resources management, application/infrastructure/security architecture management, and investment analysis
  5. Knowledge of an organization’s Information Technology infrastructure and the mission and programs of the organization in order to participate in carrying out complex assignments and develop new methods, approaches, and procedures and to provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex
    IT issues

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
