One-Year Temporary Appointment with Possible Extension. The Contract Specialist is responsible for assisting the Supervisory Contract Specialist in providing operational procurement support for the Supreme Court of the United States. The incumbent performs the full range of both pre-award and post-award actions for procuring a wide variety of equipment, supplies, and services in support of Court operations. The incumbent also assists with the management of the Marshal's budget. The incumbent will work directly with supported organizations in performing a wide range of procurement actions including, but not limited to: the routine purchase and replenishment of off-the-shelf consumables; building/grounds service/maintenance contracts; travel support; competitive, multi-year technical support contracts; and sole-source contracts for the repair/restoration/preservation of historic/architectural items. The incumbent also performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma is required. College education is desirable.
