    This position of INTELLIGENCE RESEARCH SPECIALIST (FRAUD DETECTION AND NATIONAL SECURITY) starts at a salary of $81,548.00 GS-12 grade level, step 01, with promotion potential to $126,062.00 grade GS-13 level, step 10.

    This position may be subject to shift work, shift differential may apply.

    Responsibilities

    • The responsibilities described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
    • Researching and analyzing all source information and intelligence; synthesize information and raw intelligence reporting; and apply sound analytic tradecraft to develop assessments for use by USCIS officers.
    • Evaluating large volumes of sensitive information to identify of trends and patterns to analyze their impact on USCIS operations.
    • Representing the agency at local, state, and federal law enforcement and inter-agency meetings specializing in fraud, national security, public safety and intelligence information sharing.
    • Planning, developing, and supporting information sharing efforts with law enforcement and intelligence communities.
    • Responding to requests for intelligence information from a variety of data systems and data bases/files to retrieve the most current intelligence data available.
