    • Lead, initiate, develop, and execute new statistical sampling, operations research, and/or economic techniques, studies, and methodologies to shed insight on energy market developments and the impact of new/emerging technologies, policies, and industry practices on energy markets.

    As an Interdisciplinary Economist/Operations Research Analyst/Survey Statistician, you will:

    • Initiate, develop, design, perform and document a broad range of statistical, economic, and/or operations research analysis assignments involving current and projected pricing, production, supply, consumption, and distribution patterns, conditions and problems pertaining to energy markets.
    • Serve as a senior technical reviewer on analytical matters pertaining to energy markets. Provide authoritative review and guidance on statistical, economic, and/or operations research methodologies used, assumptions made, policy issues considered, and results of analyses performed. Ensure compliance with established criteria, sound principles, and standard practices.
    • Initiate, develop, perform, and document next-generation models and/or innovative analyses of the effects of different policies and advise high level managers of positive and negative effects of the different policies. Select critical elements of real world systems for inclusion in models and/or analyses. Plan, design, conduct, and oversee tests to validate models and/or analyses. Develop parameters for optimum sample sizes and sources of data appropriate for studies, and originate new programs, techniques, and approaches in assigned subject areas..
    • Brief senior management and high-level stakeholders on progress and conclusions of statistical and/or economic studies. Lead and participate in workshops, committees, task forces, and other activities engaged in developing policy and technical criteria pertaining to energy markets.
