Duties

Help
  • Set up cafeteria lines, steam-tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with haot and cold food items including meats, begetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages; replenish as necessary.
  • Performs a variety of tasks having several steps or a sequence of tasks that requires attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.
  • Serves food by order and proper proportion. Break down and cleans tables and area when meal is finished and returns dishes and food to the kitchen area.
  • Assembles or toss fresh fruit and green salads in quantity using prepared dressings and portions into standard serving sizes.
  • Operates, break downs, and cleans all equipment assigned to the area for food preparation.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
  • A one year probationary period may be required
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours of initial food sanittation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Satisfactory completion of Pre-employment bacground checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15j(1) to include a medical examination and up to date immunizations.
  • Must be available to work from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Light to heavy physical effort is required. Fequently lifts and moves items wighing up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

The ability to understand and follow simple instructions, and to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines.
