Summary

Positions can be located at either Bangor or Bremerton Facilities and are Flexible Continuing. Incumbent will perform the daily operations of the front desk associate and night auditor functions for the lodging program.

Duties

Help

Will ensure the privacy and security of all guests is maintained at all times.  Creates Daily, Monthly and Annual Occupancy reports.  Performs credit card batch settlement and end of business day and prepares credit card report and deposit for Business office.  Performs computer generated night audit and opens new business day.  Verifies charges for correctness, makes appropriate changes if errors occur, and completes all computer generated reports as assigned and notates any account discrepancies for action by management.  May prepare registration packets for next day arrivals.  Prints building reports for maintenance department as required.  Incumbent will also be responsible for regular front desk duties such as receiving requests and processing reservations within established guidelines. Change and cancel reservations as requested by the guests. Secures authorization for credit cards, collects service charges for damage and other charges upon guest check-out. Incumbent will inventory keys and other supplies or amenities maintained at front desk. Using the property management system may run reports as requested or needed. Log trouble calls and ensure appropriate department is notified. Incumbent may need to provide guests information/maps of base or local area. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Six months of work experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, and regulations related to hospitality operations preferred. Incumbent must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and various software programs. Must possess basic math and reading skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to handle, control, and account for large amounts of cash.

Some positions have special requirements.  Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.  Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required.  We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee’s eligibility to work in the United States.  Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of National Agency background Check (NACI). This position involves working primarily night shift, however may be required to work each shift as needed as well as weekends and holidays. Certification for front desk operations and other requirement outlined in the Lodging Career Path Guide obtained within established time frame. Incumbent may be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime, including on an emergency basis. A valid state driver license to travel to other facilities may be required within the normal scope of duties and may be assigned to work at either location as needed.
