Duties

Help
  • You will be manufacturing, loading, assembling, or disassembling of materials.
  • You will be interpreting sketches, blueprints, or specifications as necessary to understand assignments in detail.
  • You will be working with measuring devices related to ordnance equipment to perform dimensional measurements.
  • You will be conducting safety checks and securing of processing facilities and equipment.
  • You will be manufacturing, loading, assembling, dissembling, or reworking ordnance components such as warheads, rockets, missiles, Cartridge Actuated Devices (CADs), Propellant Actuated Devices (PADs) and Aircrew Escape Propellants (AEPs).

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

For the WG-05 level: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the WG-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector; performing simple and repetitive tasks to assemble explosives, propellant intermediates or related chemical products from development to production process.

For the WG-04 level: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ?WG-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector; assisting with simple and repetitive tasks to assemble explosives, propellant intermediates or related chemical products from development to production process.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
