The primary focus of this Visual Information Specialist will be translating complicated ideas, data, and information into creative, easily understood infographics and animations for use in the agency’s external (i.e. public) communications and education efforts.
The individual selected for this position will:
• Create innovative visual displays of quantitative and qualitative information, in forms including charts, graphs, diagrams, illustrations, and maps. • Use specialized data visualization tools for print and web, such as Tableau, R, D3, ArcGIS and others, and demonstrate the ability to learn new tools when necessary. • Create dynamic, engaging motion graphics and high-quality animations to enhance video content for a wide variety of internal and external audiences. • Compose both still and rich media elements in a timely manner while working on several projects simultaneously. • Oversee all phases of production, including scheduling, design, layout, production, and delivery.

You must meet the following United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements for the advertised position. Specialized Experience: is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Skill Set 3 - Experience using Premiere Pro and After Effects WITHIN Adobe Creative Cloud to create, edit and develop motion graphics, animation, and/or titling for use in an organization’s external (i.e. public) video communications.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
