Joining the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) means being part of the national effort to protect and enhance the resilience of the Nation's physical and cyber infrastructure and address threats to public health and safety, economy, and national security. Within CISA, The National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) operates at the intersection of government, private sector, and international network defense and communications communities, applying unique analytic perspectives, ensuring shared situational awareness, and orchestrating synchronized response, mitigation, and recovery efforts while protecting the Constitutional and privacy rights of Americans in both the cybersecurity and communications domains.
Duties of the Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, GS-0343-15, include, but are not limited to the following:
- Providing technical and administrative supervision to a staff of analysts in grades GS-07 through GS-15. Establishes positions and selection of staff by applying merit and EEO principles; assigns and reviews work considering the skills and abilities of employees; plans and arranges for training and development of employees; sets organizational and individual performance standards and evaluates employee performance; reviews and recommends approval of awards; and hears and resolves complaints.
- Reviewing, advising, and conducting complex analyses, evaluations, or investigations supporting organizational programs, systems, and processes, including areas where definitions, methods, and/or data are incomplete, controversial, uncertain, or where boundaries of the studies are extremely broad and difficult to determine in advance.
- Serving as an expert program manager and analyst in the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems.
- Working with management to develop long-range management plans for efficient and effective program implementation and administration.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders, such as federal agencies, state and local governments, industry, and international partners, to facilitate implementation of new or revised requirements, procedures, and products.
- Developing new methods and techniques to address novel or obscure problems for which guidelines or precedents are not substantially applicable.
