- Directing short and long range program planning and projections; formulating and evaluating budget activities/forecasts and justifications; and reviewing and refining procurement policies used in the acquisition of goods and services to enhance operational efficiency.
- Providing authoritative interpretations, instructions, and guidance relative to all phases of procurement management; and managing a centralized procurement operation enterprise-wide through subordinate supervisors.
- Initiating, coordinating, conducting, and/or reviewing complex projects or studies that are self-generated or requested by the Division Chief/Head of Contracting Activity, CFO, or senior leadership; and providing advice on the full range of procurement issues, programs, and policies.
- Planning, directing, supervising, and coordinating professional, technical, and administrative support personnel engaged in the procurement of all equipment enterprise-wide; and developing and accessing training and developmental needs of employees.
