Duties

Help
  • You will assess media coverage to recommend methods and techniques for disseminating information.
  • You will develop strategic communication plans for release of authorized information to the public (e.g., pamphlets, brochures, press releases, videos, social networks).
  • You will use modern media outlets such as social media websites and blogs to communicate key messages to targeted parties.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Print media coverage includes researching, interviewing, transcribing, writing, taking photographs in support of story development; 2) Placing completed released with appropriate traditional print outlets as well as monitoring, maintaining, and expanding; 3) Develops materials on topics to convey a point of view to readers with a varying degree of understanding; 4)Providing and/or clearing material concerning controversial command activities such as hazardous operations, costly acquisitions, and equal opportunity issues upon request by media representatives; 5) Perform work involved in establishing and maintaining current and unclassified public information on programs and actives within the Submarine Learning Center domain.
OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related

OR a combination of both education and experience
