The GS-09 salary range starts at $50, 598.00 (San Antonio, TX, New Orleans and Little Rock, AR) and $51,186.00 (Austin, TX) per year, if you meet the following qualifications. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement To qualify, you must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-8 level of Federal service.
Specialized experience includes: 1) Engineering aid or technician performing work directly related to construction; 2) Construction inspector or construction representative responsible for interpreting plans and specifications, inspecting materials and workmanship, and ensuring adherence to safety requirements; 3) Supervisor of crafts/trades persons engaged in construction work of facilities and provided the experience involved responsibility for interpreting plans and specifications and inspecting workmanship for adherence to such plans and specifications; or 4) Experience interpreting plans and specifications during construction; conducting on-site inspections of projects to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and other requirements of contracts; providing input to Contracting Officer's Representative on contractors conformance to specification and codes; and experience using computer aided drafting and design technology.

B. Graduate Education: Two full years of graduate education or a masters degree which is in an academic field directly related to the work of this position

C. A combination of graduate level education and appropriate specialized experience that together, meets the qualification requirements of this position.
