    Responsibilities

    Interns will work on various assignments within the following Administrative Professional & Support Staff (APSS) office:

    Field Operations (FO):

    Summary: Field Operations works to make GAO’s mission possible coast-to-coast by supporting GAO’s agency-wide business processes, fostering innovative business and operational practices, enhancing information sharing and collaboration, and providing a safe, secure, and productive work environment nationwide. The intern will assist in providing quality administrative, analytical, and technical support to measure and/or improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Field Operations business processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Gathers and analyzes data related to programs and/or projects in support of business process improvement.
    • Conducts research of various business process alternatives and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.
    • Assist with the development of project management documentation for the implementation of new projects and services.
    • Participate in various ad hoc assignments which support Field Operations business processes.
