    About the Position: Fort Drum, the home of the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), is located in Northern New York, a historically unique and geographically beautiful area, offering bountiful outdoor recreational opportunities from hunting and fishing to winter sports of all types. Fort Drum is approximately 30 miles from Canada, with the Great Lakes to the west, the Adirondack Mountains to the east, and the St. Lawrence River and Thousand Islands in between.

    • This position is located within the 10th Mountain Division, Protocol Office.
    • Provide assistance and coordinate official visits to the installation to include Heads of State, high ranking military and civilian guests, the President and members of his staff, members of Congress, Flag Officers, senior military officers , etc.
    • Perform a variety of protocol duties which are consonant with the Command's mission and priorities in support of the 10th Mountain Division, the Senior Commander and the Command Group.
    • Plan and coordinate major meetings, conferences, seminars, demonstrations, symposia, tours, and formal visits for 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum.
    • Manage the Secretary of the Army Contingency Funds and exercises control of its disbursement; develop requirements appropriate to each visit; estimate costs; and submit funding requirements and justifications.
    • Coordinate administrative matters, such as maintaining an up-to-date VIP database for special functions consideration and invitations.
