Duties

Help

As the Supervisory Program Analyst for Management and Administration you will be responsible for carrying out the authorities and responsibilities related to the administrative functioning and management of the Office of Inspector General. You will develop, implement, coordinate, and oversee various programs such as budget, information technology, security, and administrative services within the OIG. You will also participate in the planning, direction and control of OIG programs. You will be responsible for representing the OIG in the federal inspector general community, and coordinating program efforts and initiatives with other inspector general offices and federal offices (OPM, OMB, etc.).

You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement. Time-in-grade restrictions must also be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of service equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position.

Appointment to this position may be subject to successful completion of a 1-year Supervisory probationary period.

Upon reporting, and on an annual basis thereafter, you will be required to file a financial disclosure statement and/or a procurement integrity certification. These certifications may be subject to public disclosure.

This position requires a security clearance and is subject to drug testing. The selectee must test negative prior to being appointed to this position and will be subject to random testing thereafter. Failure to pass subsequent tests could result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the Federal service

Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-15 level you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience developing, implementing, coordinating and overseeing various programs such as budget, information technology, security and administrative service within the OIG. Responsible for participating in the planning, direction and control of OIG programs. Federal civilian strategic planning, program analysis, and budgeting, particularly long-range budget planning such as making recommendations to management on implications of budgetary decisions in current and future years, budget formulation, presentation and preparing reports to other Federal agencies and Congress on the status and use of appropriated funds.

Education may enhance skills required for this position; however, no substitution of education for specialized experience may be made at this level.
