This is a Full-Time Faculty Tenure-Track appointment in the Federal Service, with an initial term not-to-exceed 06/20/2021. Reappointments to additional one or two year terms are possible. If tenure is achieved (after four to six years), employment will be made permanent, provided a satisfactory performance appraisal is received annually.

As a Mathematician (Assistant Professor), you will:
Be responsible for the development and conduct of educational courses and programs within the department, in particular teaching courses in Mathematics.
Be responsible for conducting research, instruction and academic counseling of Midshipmen and assuming a share of departmental and other academic responsibilities.
The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated and experienced professional possessing a Doctorate degree in Mathematics and experience teaching all levels of undergraduate mathematics courses.

Qualifications
To be qualified for this position, you must meet the education requirements and have experience teaching college level courses in the required field of study.
To qualify for Mathematics (Assistant Professor), you must possess a minimum of one year full-time (or equivalent) experience teaching undergraduate-level Calculus, Differential Equations and/or Probability & Statistics courses in a college or university, other than as part of a teaching assistantship. Experience in applied mathematics is preferred.
Education
Minimum Educational Requirements: To qualify for the Mathematics (Assistant Professor) position you must possess a Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics or a closely related mathematics field including, but not limited to, Statistics or Operations Research.
