    Summary

    This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services, Data and Systems Group (DSG).

    As a Information Technology Specialist, GS-2210-15, you will serve as a senior information technology (IT) advisor to the Director with primary responsibility for IT strategic planning and management, information systems and technology development and implementation.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide support in the oversight of the management, development, and maintenance of enterprise systems, databases, and IT analytical environments and oversight of state IT implementation to support state quality improvement activities.
    • Serve as a senior IT expert, advisor, trainer, and mentor in employing IT to better develop and maintain IT systems for collection, organization, review and analysis of data.
    • Develop new and innovative technologies to best serve the Center's strategic initiatives, operations, and budget objectives.
    • Plan and conduct studies to develop business intelligence environments and systems, operating procedures, and methods for the successful execution of CMCS initiatives.
    • Participate as a representative to various CMS and Government-wide information technology development activities.
