As a Security Specialist, you will provide assistance in supporting comprehensive agency wide security management policies and plans. The GS-09 salary range starts at $57,948 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in federal service OR possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate level education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience in supporting an agency wide security management plans and policies, which includes: functional areas of personnel/fitness determination security, physical security, information security, industrial security and credentialing; experience and subject matter expertise in programming, evaluating, administering and managing a physical access control system; and meeting and interacting with individuals with various levels of understanding.
