Duties

Help
  • You will manage, direct and assign the work of a multi-disciplinary engineering or scientific staff engage in accelerated development, prototyping and a small scale production.
  • You will manage a large and diverse workforce in a manner that maximizes the use of personnel resources consistent with mission requirements.
  • You will provide project management practices and principles including all aspects of conducting development program such as planning, organizing a project team, coordinating the efforts of that team, and completing the project.
  • You will apply knowledge of subtractive and additive manufacturing techniques utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC).
  • You will negotiate with and influence others to accept unpopular decisions or recommendations.
  • You will present reports and briefings on complex subjects to senior management officials as well as provide coherent advice and consultation.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing Engineering Technician work in leading or managing the operation of prototyping or machining technologies utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) or Computer Numerical Control (CNC).
