Duties

As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will:
-Plan, direct, coordinate, lead, counsel, and evaluate the subordinate staff; ensures the timely performance of a satisfactory amount and quality of work; review work products of subordinates; and accept, amend, or reject their work.
-Lead the team to identify OAE staff's training needs, developing and providing technical support, and coordination with OAE staff to ensure training needs are met, including core competencies.  Coordinate and plan OAE training events, which are held either in OIG Headquarters or offsite locations.  Contract with vendors and others to ensure that appropriate training is provided to promote the staff's professional development.
-Provide oversight for OAE travel, supplies, training, and award budgets. Monitor OAE expenditures, using MIS and other data, to ensure amounts do not exceed assigned allotments without justification and authorization by OAE top management.  Formulate and recommend policies, procedures, and standards to promote more effective and efficient operations and establish protocol or requirements for OAE projects and staff.  Devise and implement methods and techniques that will expedite the flow of work of the OAE.  When necessary, coordinate such activities with other OIG offices.  Plan, execute, and monitors a variety of management analyses and studies related to support operations, and program resources to improve assigned office operations.  Assist in the development of policies and other work of the groups, and keep senior OAE and OIG management fully informed of the group decisions and actions.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: 
-Analyzing and evaluating issues/problems related to office operations, policies, and procedures and contributes to the development of major policies; AND
-
Coordinating a training program; AND
-Provides oversight for annual budget and spend plan for training, travel, and supplies.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
