    About the Position:
    This position is with the Department of Defense Education Activity in Alexandria, Virginia.

    This positions serves as a lead for the professional development team within the Teaching and Learning Branch.

    • Propose comprehensive, inclusive, and creative professional development plans aimed at improving prekindergarten through 12th grade (PK-12) student performance.
    • Deliver quality professional learning and monitoring the quality of program services to ensure compliance with professional quality assurance standards.
    • Designing instructional strategies of proposed solutions that adhere to adult learning theory.
    • Collaborate with Education Directorate staff to design and execute professional learning that will build PK-12 schools' capacity to implement Community Strategic Plan (CSP) priorities.
    • Serving as a Contract Officer Representative (COR) for multiple contracts, including developing Statements of Work (SOW), monitoring contracts to ensure services are provided.
    • Provide team leadership to the professional development team.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
