As the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we remain an independent and objective organization, conducting and supervising audits, evaluations, and investigations relating to the Department's programs and operations. We promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in these programs and operations as we also strive to prevent and detect fraud, abuse, and mismanagement. This position is located in the Program Evaluation Division, Office of Evaluation, which assesses HUD's programs and operations in a timely, credible, and constructive manner. Our evaluations result in reports or other written products that HUD can use to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, impact, or sustainability of its operations, programs, and polices. The analyst leads or independently conducts evaluations/inspections (evaluations), or works as part of a team performing complex evaluations of Departmental programs. In addition, the analyst participates in workgroups to improve the organizational operations and achievements of the OIG and may interface and/or participate in workgroups with other Federal, State, and local evaluation/audit organizations to further coordination, customer service, and results.
