Duties

Help
  • You will create vector and raster technical illustrations from written or verbal instructions.
  • You will manipulate images by removing backgrounds in photographs, blending and correcting colors, combine multiple images and recreate missing details.
  • You will manage and organize digital image files and digital photographs using image database software and techniques.
  • You will communicate with assigned workgroup as well as other workgroups within and outside of the Information Management Division.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience for the:

NT-04: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (NT-3) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, planning the visual aspects of technical publications that include selecting photos, illustrations or other visual materials to meet product requirements and utilizing Adobe PhotoShop in the design, production and reproduction of visual products that include technical drawings and illustrations related to ordnance, improvised explosive devices or other various weapons systems.

NT-3 level: NT-03: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/6/7/8) or pay band (NT-02) in the federal service, private or public utilizing Adobe PhotoShop in the design, production and reproduction of visual products that include technical drawings and illustrations related to ordnance, improvised explosive devices or other various weapons systems.

Education


Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position. Some positions may also require subject-matter knowledge of medicine, science, or technical equipment. Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis.
