Compensation - As an Attorney Advisor in Compensation you will be responsible for handling a variety of legal issues and matters primarily pertaining to Federal employee benefits, compensation, leave, retirement, life insurance, ethics, debt collection, torts, Senior Executive Services issues, procurement matters, appropriations law, and garnishment of Federal pay.
Merit Systems - As an Attorney Advisor in Merit Systems you will be responsible for handling a variety of legal issues and matters primarily related to administrative law to include areas such as staffing, EEO, Hatch Act administration, reduction in force, and Administrative Law Judge program. This component also handles adverse and performance-based actions, grievance and arbitration, suitability and security matters, internal and government-wide labor relations, collective bargaining, FOIA and Privacy Act appeals, intervention and reconsideration of MSPB and arbitration decisions.
You MUST provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. Unless otherwise stated: (1) official or unofficial transcripts are acceptable, or (2) you may submit a list with all of your courses, grades, semester, year, and credit for the course. All materials must be submitted by the closing date of the announcement.
PASS/FAIL COURSES: If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) was taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society.
