    This position is in the Human Resources Service Line, VA Black Hills Health Care System. There is one vacancy that can be filled either at Fort, Meade, SD or Hot Springs, SD.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for providing technical guidance, direction and oversight to HRAs assigned to the Processing & Records section. This section is comprised of HRAs at both the Fort Meade and Hot Springs facilities and are comprised of employees at the GS-05 and GS-06 grade levels. Duty section is engaged in performing technical work in processing, documenting, and/or coding a full range of recurring and nonrecurring personnel actions in HRSmart. Provides technical guidance and oversight necessary of accomplishing the work of the section in an accurate and timely manner. Conducts progress/spot checks and reviews completed work to see that sequence, procedures, and deadlines have been met. Ensures regular communication occurs between HRAs to maximize flow and coordination.

    Performance Management; prepares and presents HR Program specialty training courses for manager and supervisors. Provides advice, assistance and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers in the area of Performance Planning and Evaluation. Provides technical guidance and advice to management officials concerning performance appraisal cycles and associated program requirements.

    Reasonable Accommodation Coordinator; performs duties as Local Reasonable Accommodation Coordinator (LRAC) in accordance with regulations, directives and handbooks. Collaborates with EEO Manager in developing training guidelines for new employees and supervisors. Works with management, HR Staff and other appropriate personnel in searching for available positions for qualified individuals with a disability in order to accommodate the individual in accordance with applicable guidelines.

    Work Schedule: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; Monday - Friday
    Compressed/Flexible: May be available on attaining full performance level of the position.
    Telework: Position is not eligible for Telework.
    Travel: A valid drivers license is required to enable oversight of both duty locations.
