The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Arkansas has one (1) vacancy for an Assistant U.S. Attorney (Violent Crimes) in the Criminal Division. The position will be located in the Hot Springs office. Attorneys in the Criminal Division are responsible for the prosecution of a variety of crimes under federal law including white-collar crime, public corruption, investment schemes, illegal immigration and alien smuggling, drug violations, firearms violations, terrorism, and violent crime.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Assistant United States Attorney's pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number of years of professional attorney experience. The range of basic pay is $94,189 to $143,639 per year which includes locality pay of 15.37% for Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Type of Position: All initial attorney appointments to the Department of Justice are made on a 14 month (temporary) basis pending favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
