GS-7 Level - The GS-7 salary range for Oakland and San Francisco, CA starts at $49,937per year, salary range for Sacramento, CA starts at $44,767 per year. Salary will be based upon the location where you are selected.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is administrative or technical experience that provided a fundamental knowledge of programs, policies, or procedures related to the operation and maintenance of commercial buildings (or equivalent non-housing, high rise buildings). Examples of such experience includes: communicating with a variety of individuals to gather information, analyze, and provide recommendations regarding building operations, automated building systems, building equipment or building services; entering, tracking, and reconciling budgetary or financial data in a computerized system for facilities operations; or providing administrative or technical support for commercial building preventative maintenance programs.

GS-9 Level - The GS-9 salary range for Oakland and San Francisco, CA starts at $61,084per year, salary range for Sacramento, CA starts at $54,760 per year. Salary will be based upon the location where you are selected.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service.Specialized experience is defined as participating in the evaluation of policies and/or implementation of programs related to the operation and maintenance of commercial buildings (or equivalent non-housing, high rise buildings) and leased space; analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of building operations, automated systems, and/or equipment; interacting with customers and stakeholders regarding building services in order to assess their needs and recommend solutions; and providing analysis of real property budgetary and/or financial data to management. Specialized Experience: Evaluating policies and/or implementing programs related to the operation and maintenance of multi-level, commercial buildings (or equivalent non-housing, high rise buildings) and leased space; analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of building operations, automated systems, and equipment; interacting with customers and stakeholders regarding building services in order to assess their needs and recommend solutions; and managing or monitoring real property budgetary and financial data.

Promotion Policy
If you are selected for this position at a grade lower than the full performance level, you may be promoted up to that grade level without further competition in accordance with all applicable regulations. However, promotions are not guaranteed and are dependent on performance.
