As a/an FOIA PROGRAM MGR-GS-0301-15, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Develops policy and procedures for accessing, and reviewing, materials under the FOIA, as well as limited declassification review of specific classification from permanent Federal Bureau of Investigation records.
Plans, directs, and coordinates a comprehensive program to review and release security classified materials with sensitivities in Research Services.
Directly supervises the work of all staff assigned to the Access and FOIA Staff (RD-F). Exercises control over the assignment and priorities of work, and the effective and efficient use of personnel. Incumbent works through supervisors in RD-F to ensure the satisfactory accomplishment of work projects and programs.
Designated and/or Random Drug Testing may be required.
You may be required to serve a supervisory probationary period.
You may be required to complete OGE Form 450 if selected.
Qualifications
One year of professional experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in providing expert access policy guidance and support on issues related to executive agencies records and donated historical materials.
Directing an access staff team of senior archival reviewers responsible for processing requests for access from the White House, Congress, and the research community at large.
Coordinates plans with equity-holding agencies such as FBI, CIA, DOD and State on the review and declassification of materials; reviewing available resources and recommends strategies for accomplishing agency goals for reviewing and releasing records with sensitivities; exercising supervisory control over the assignment and priorities of work, and the effective and efficient use of personnel
Merit promotion applicants must meet time in grade requirements as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-14 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirement for the GS-15 level.
