Summary

As a Government Information Specialist you will perform the following duties:
Research, analyze and evaluate data and determine whether disclosure of information is legally permissible under FOIA statute and EEOC disclosure policies.
Review and process FOIA request for agency records and information.
Redact, obscure and/or withhold confidential or privilege information on documents.
Prepare FOIA determination letters.
Process request for disclosure Section 83 requests.

Qualifications
GS-9
Possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes performing work that required researching, analyzing, evaluating data, and responding to a variety of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests. OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. OR
Possess a combination of graduate level education and specialized experience as described above. (The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. NOTE: Only graduate education in excess of the first year may be used to qualify for the GS-09 level.)
