Duties

Help
  • Provide direction towards the successful integration of the Fee for Service Modernization project which incorporates agile and web-based technologies and standards.
  • Coordinate the design, engineering, development, and implementation of these applications among multiple stakeholders and system interfaces and serves as the technical expert.
  • Analyze and resolve all sides of emerging or precedent setting technical issues associated with the development and implementation of Agency applications and system interfaces.
  • Advise senior Agency and Departmental leadership on Data and Eligibility concerns relating to the implementation of web based technology as well as mainframe systems.

You must demonstrated each of the four IT-related competencies:

(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

(3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

(4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.

In order to qualify for the GS-15 grade level , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Implementing and analyzing Information Technology (IT) project plans related to IT infrastructure and operations; 2.) Advising management regarding improvements or solutions to an IT systems or operations; and 3) Serving as a technical lead to ensure subordinate staff's compliance with the implementation of an IT project's plans, policies, or procedures.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
