The Project Manager's role ends only after the intended end result of the project (i.e., a fully occupied and operational facility) has been achieved. The GS-11 salary range starts at $67,856.00 per year
To qualify for the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-09, in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service is experience applying a thorough knowledge of construction and cost estimating methods and techniques, contracts, and Computer Aided Drafting and design technology. This experience must include:
Have 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. This education provided you the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position OR have a combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
The GS-11 salary range starts at:
San Diego, CA $67,856 per year
San Francisco, CA $73,905 per year
Los Angeles, CA $69,283 per year
The GS-12 salary range starts at:
San Diego, CA $81,332 per year
San Francisco, CA $88,582 per year
Los Angeles, CA $83,043 per year
To qualify for the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-11, in the Federal service.
Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service is performing project management on construction and/or repair and alteration projects to include: writing scope of work documents and technical specifications; preparing independent, in-house cost estimates; designing and coordinating construction schedules; conducting progress meetings with multiple stakeholders; being accountable for project expenses and funding; negotiating contract specifications and project plans; administering provisions of contracts; and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, while meeting customer service goals. This experience must include:
