Help

As the Assistant Inspector General for Managment and Administration you will be responsible for carrying out the authorities and responsibilities related to the administrative functioning and management of the Office of Inspector General. You will develop, implement, coordinate, and oversee various programs such as human resources, budget, information technology, security, and administrative services within the OIG. You will also participate in the planning, direction and control of OIG programs. You will be responsible for representing the OIG in the federal inspector general community, and coordinating program efforts and initiatives with other inspector general offices and federal offices (OPM, OMB, etc.).

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualification requirements for this position, you must show that you possess the Mandatory Technical Qualifications and other qualifications, if applicable, listed below.

MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALFICATIONS:

All applicants must submit written statements specifically addressing each MTQs. Statements should not exceed two pages per MTQ. You must address each technical qualifications separately.

1. Demonstrated leadership experience in directing and executing Federal human capital strategic business plans, capital investment planning, and other human resources functions.

2. Demonstrated experience and expert knowledge of operational policies and practices to oversee the planning, formulation, and execution of an agency budget and acquisition plan.

3. Demonstrated experience in leading the information technology services in delivering system development and information resource management for an agency.

4. Expert knowledge of personnel security and demonstrated experience in directing and overseeing the administration of personnel and information security functions.

5. Extensive experience directing and overseeing the execution of programs, policies, and systems that impact the business services of an agency.

Additional information

You will serve a one- year probationary period unless you previously completed the probationary period in the SES.

Veteran's preference does not apply to the Senior Executive Service.
