The Office of Administration (OA) is currently seeking students to participate in the Fall Student Internship, September 11, 2018 thru December 7, 2018. A description of each participating division is listed below:
Office of Administration (DO)
Director's Office - central hub for all business operations within the OA, including: administrative, financial, logistical, security and emergency preparedness, information technology and legal services.
*Skill Set Required for the Director's Office positions: Technical writing, Editor, Microsoft Office proficient, problem solving, organizational skills, filing, printing, copying, office management and high level of discretion in all sensitive administrative matters.
*Must submit a writing sample.*
Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO)
HR Recruitment & Staffing Division - professionally manages the hiring process for identifying and obtaining qualified applicants for the EOP, as well as, providing presidential level customer service.
Employee Relations - responsible for ensuring compliance with several employee related programs and provides advice to managers regarding employee performance and conduct issues.
Library (Reference/Archives) - manages special collections which include documents, photographs, microforms, and other ephemera. Assist with the maintenance and accessibility of these collections.
Special Programs and Projects Division - provides robust enterprise work life services; managing the developmental leadership program for unpaid student interns, managing the on and off boarding experience, and event management.

Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO)
Accounting - supports the President by supplying a full range of financial services.
Procurement - provides timely procurement of supplies and services,.
Policy -measures compliance with internal controls, and draws conclusions for improvement of operations.

Office of the Chief Operations Officer (OCOO)
Facilities Management - manages the use of space and oversees the maintenance of space within all EOP facilities and provides excellence in customer service.
Supply, Storage and Distribution Management Division - provides logistical support for all EOP components, the COOP site, White House Communications Agency (WHCA) and the EOP offsite data center.

Office of the General Counsel (OGC)
General Counsel - work side by side with practicing lawyers in the EOP legal community.

*Must be enrolled in Law School and provide Transcripts.*
Office of Security and Emergency Preparedness (OSEP)
Physical Security - provides services to ensure the proper physical security of individuals to access facilities on the EOP complex.
Personnel Security - provides a variety of services to ensure the proper protection of EOP resources including personnel and national security information through our security oversight and educational operations.
Continuity of Operations Program - provides the necessary preparedness for and response to a threat that would cause a disruption to the EOP daily operations.

Information Technology (IT)
Application Management Group - provides a single coordination point for service providers, and end-user assistance with enterprise-wide applications throughout the EOP.
Financial Management Operations - responsible for the timely execution of financial transactions, including invoice payment, de-obligations, requisitions, and budget development.
Info Governance and eDiscovery -ensures legal and compliance requirements and manages information risks.
Program Management - project management of IT initiatives in the EOP, including: developing project plans, scope and schedules; assists in the development of key deliverables and supporting documentation such as system requirements and process flow; liaising with key stakeholders, tracking status of tasks related to project execution, etc...
Records Management -oversees the maintenance, preservation, and disposition of both electronic and paper records to fulfill the Presidential Records and Federal Records Acts.
Threat Intelligence -identifies, analyzes, and disseminates threat intelligence to senior leadership and makes recommendations to enhance the security posture of the Presidential Information Technology Community (PITC) network, White House environment, Principals, and EOP staff. * Must have a a higher level security clearance - TS/SCI.*
Application Development - designs, creates, tests, and deploys new applications and functionality which support the mission of the Executive Office of the President and our partner agencies. *Must have Programming (Java, C++, Javascript, HTML, Python, etc...*

Education
Academic Eligibility Requirements for OA Student Interns:
If the internship is to be served during the school year, the intern candidate must be enrolled in and attending an academic degree seeking program in an accredited college or university (including a community college, junior college, or a 4-year college or university) or an accredited graduate or professional school (such as law school) at least half-time through-out the internship or, if the internship is to be served after the end of the school year (such as a summer internship), must have been enrolled in and attending such a program during the school year and must be accepted for enrollment in, and must intend to attend, such a program within five months after the end of the school year
Must have a minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scale (or the reasonable equivalent, if the program uses a different scale).
