Duties

Help
  • You will apply methods and applicable local procedures in order to ensure physical protection of classified and sensitive information through daily walk-around inspections by checking doors, locks, card readers, motion sensors, and security lights.
  • You will classify and review info appearing in databases such as photographs, illustrations, drawings, functional data, hazardous components, safety summaries, EOD procedures, logistical data, using countries and potential locations of hardware.
  • You will classify info products according to security regulations and policies subject matters such as domestic and foreign mentions, IEDs, aircraft, weapons systems as well as EOD tactics, techniques and procedures used to defeat threats.
  • You will communicate tactfully in order to provide advice and guidance on a wide range of security issues and serve as a member of a team and influence others to accept unpopular decisions or recommendations interfacing with people at all levels.
  • You will utilize a wide range of DOD, Navy and Command information security principles, policies and practices in order to independently review, analyze, and resolve complex information security problems and apply policy to operating requirements.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing information reviews relating to Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) procedures, ensuring adherence to established security policies. Examples of Qualifying experience: Establishing and implementing adequate operation and information technology controls to ensure the proper maintenance and use of records to promote accessibility and ensure proper maintenance, use, accessibility and preservation, regardless of format or medium.

Education


Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
