The Information Technology and Communications Directorate, Cybersecurity Services & Integration Division (CSID) (Code 710) is seeking a COMSEC manager and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) within the Cybersecurity Services and Integration Division (CSID) at Goddard Space Flight Center. As a Center Communications Security (COMSEC) Account Manager (CAM), Alternate Account Manager (ACAM), and Controlling Authority (CA) you will serve as focal point for all COMSEC related policy and requirement issues to include receiving, safeguarding, disposing, and accounting for COMSEC materials. You will coordinates COMSEC policy and plans with NASA HQs, National Security Agency, and other Centers and Agencies. You will ensure program compliance with applicable policy and requirements, including NASA COMSEC Standard Operating Procedures (CSOP).
As an Information System Security Manager you will serves as an expert resource for the management of vulnerabilities on systems and networks throughout the Goddard Space Flight Center computing environment. You will provides authoritative guidance related to the Center's IT security program, helping to develop long-range plans for IT security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities. You will recommend modifications and solutions for reducing IT security risks, and develop strategies for responding to future IT security challenges. You will coordinate information security professional development programs meant to spread awareness of information security principles, issues, trends, risks, goals, and other pertinent matters. You will participates in source selection activities to include statement of work preparation and review for information security courseware and other materials. You will review proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks and ensure effective delivery of training to support gaps in understanding of security requirements.
You will participate in and represent the Center in various intra/inter-agency forums and working groups. You will participate or manage projects meant to enhance the security posture of the Center. You will develop policies, guidelines, and standards. You will be the focal point for communicating policy and requirement changes as well as actions to the Center management and employees, and system owners at the Center.
