    At the full performance level, Mathematical Statistician, GS-1529-12, you will:

    • Select, adapt, modify, and refine a variety of methods and develop new procedures for mathematical statistical projects.
    • Develop new or improved methods and evaluate different mathematical statistical approaches/methods such as frame development and maintenance, survey design, cognitive testing, data confidentiality, editing, imputation, estimation, graphical validation, statistical analyses, regression, and forecasting to ensure data quality.
    • Analyze findings, evaluate mathematical statistical limitations of data, and specify the range of possible explanations.
    • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary study team or independently, contingent on the magnitude and complexity for which the study requires.
    • Conduct presentations at meetings and conferences.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required to attend training, conferences or meetings.
