Summary

The United States Army Financial Management Command is a Direct Reporting Unit DRU under the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management & Comptroller (ASA (FM&C)) whose mission is to provide finance support and liaison to Army commands, component commands, direct reporting units, installations, and tactical units, as well as the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), on matters pertaining to the adequacy of finance policies, systems, and reporting requirements. USAFMCOM also performs Army-wide or Army-unique actions such as financial management unit technical training, electronic commerce, and classified finance and accounting oversight.

Duties

Help
  • Providing operational oversight of Army field Financial Management activities.
  • Publish site content on its FM mission directives, information and training for Army Enterprise Resource Systems (ERPs), General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) Business Intelligence, E-Commerce, deployment training, and Civilian Pay.
  • Develop and implement policy and program guidance governing the implementation and management of KM initiatives in the organization.
  • Advises USAFMCOM Office of the CIO/G-6 on the development and maintenance of the organization?s website/portal (SharePoint) for knowledge dissemination.
  • Serves as a liaison with other agencies and industries to facilitate the leveraging of world-class knowledge practices.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-12 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is define as; developing and establishing program policies, processes, and systems to disseminate knowledge products and maintain SharePoint system for the agency.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
