The successful candidate will serve as a Health Scientist Administrator (HSA) Referral Officer in the Division of Receipt and Referral. They will be responsible for (1) the initial scientific review and evaluation of the research objectives of applications to the PHS for research grant in aid support and (2) the assignment of such applications for processing through individual NIH study sections, committees, and the advisory councils. They will also serve as Health Scientist Administrator (HSA) Scientific Review Officer (SRO) for committees or study sections that review research and/or training grant applications.

This position is temporary, not-to-exceed (NTE) five years. Depending upon programmatic needs, the not-to-exceed date of this promotion may be extended, without further competition, in one year increments up to a maximum of five years from the effective date and/or made permanent without further competition.
