Help

The purpose of this position is to provide general accounting and administrative support to the General and Operations Manager. Liaisons with the Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) business office to maintain, reconcile and verify accounting records. Maintain files of all correspondence and messages pertaining to financial records and accounting data. Prepare and types correspondence. Receive telephone calls and visitors. Responsible for handling office mail. Make arrangements for meetings. Make trave arrangements for lodging staff. Responsible for billing and collection of customer accounts. Ensure accuracy of all assigned general ledger postings and reconciles general ledger balances with subsidiary ledgers and closes assigned accounts. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with a minimum two years experience in an integrated double entry accrual accounting system. Certification or Associates degree in Accounting from an accredited university or business school is preferred. Must possess knowledge of various accounting policies, regulations, terminology, processes and documentation to support transactions that involve the use of different forms and the application of different procedures. Must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software and must have knowledge of one or more automated accounting databases. Ability to communicate effectively in Englisgh both orally and in writing.

This position may be designated ALPHA personnel for inclement weather or in the interst of national security and may be required to report to work when other employees are excused. This position is subject to the possibility of workdays on weekend and holidays and rotating shifts. May be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime. May be required to posess a valid state driver license. Subject to a favorable national agency check. Incumbent is expected to meet any requirements outlined in the Lodging Career Path Guide.
