Duties

Help
  • You will direct personnel in troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and installing marine engines and other equipment, such as propulsion machinery auxiliary generators, pumps, compressor, and fire fighting machinery on vessels.
  • You will coordinate with contractor technical representative personnel when assigned to perform troubleshooting, analysis, and/or repairs
  • You will provide direction to workers by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group; ensuring proper work methods; and seeing to it that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available.
  • You will determine performance of a satisfactory amount and quality of work and review products for acceptability.
  • You will actively support and promote all aspects of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program.

Salary is based on geographical location and is subject to change with the annual local wage surveys in accordance with the provisions of 5 CFR
part 532 for all employees whose official duty station is located within the geographic boundary of the wage area definition.
